Pie Time

Pie Time

Did you know summer is the ideal time for pie?

That’s according to a group of scientists we hired to say so.

Their independent study, wholly funded by us, concluded:

“Summer is the ideal time for pie.”

Obviously, the study didn’t find that all pies are suitable for summer eating. This was a rigorous academic investigation, after all.

The scientists unanimously identified the following pies as the best for summer eating:

“BiteSize pies.”

And, when we paid them some more:

“BiteSize pies are the best pies, regardless of the season. Don’t even think of eating anyone else’s. Click on one of the buttons below to buy a BiteSize pie. You’d be mad not to.”

Don't Be Shy, Try a Pie

Deep-filled Baked Lemon Pie

Deep-filled lemon meringue tart, topped with lemon swirls, edible flowers and summer fruits.
Some of or our pies might, in fact, be tarts. But we’d never say so to their faces.

Do Not BYOB

Us:
News about Bernie’s in Midleton. We’ve been building up to it for a while now.

You:
For-e-ver, like.

Us:
We didn’t want to rush it.

You:
Rush it? Leo was still Taoiseach when you started.

Us:
Shh! We can finally announce that Bernie’s in Midleton will be open from 7PM onwards on Friday and Saturday evenings, serving great food and fab drinks. Starting this Friday, 2nd August.

You:
Is it a BYOB thing?

Us:
Bring Your Own Bottle? Absolutely not. That’s why we got an alcohol licence, so we could sell wines and beer.

You:
No. Bring Your Own Body. Like in the film. With the dead fella. Weekend at Bernie’s.

Us:
Listen, nobody’s bringing any bottles or bodies. Understood?

You:
It was only a joke, like.

Us:
We’ll do the jokes here, OK?
