This Is as Easy as Pie
Our marketing consultants still aren't speaking to us after what went on in last month's email bulletin. If you missed it, you can read all about that here: Summer. Big Deal.
But who needs marketing consultants? How hard can it be to get people to buy cake? Everybody loves cake. And for very good reasons.
Take birthday cakes, for instance:

So it seems only logical to say that the more birthday cakes you eat, the longer you'll live too.
Order your life-extending* birthday cake here:

* Our legal department would like us to point out that we do not guarantee that eating a BiteSize cake will extend your life.**
** We would like to point out to our legal department that they should shut up. We're trying to sell cakes here, and they are not helping.
Back to marketing. We've picked up plenty of marketing tips over the years.
One thing we have learned is that we must show the value we bring to the whole cake experience, especially compared with other retailers.
For example:

Also, we know we should promote something that is unique to us or that we invented.
Something like:
We invented the cupcake***.
If you enjoy cupcakes, the only place you can buy them is from us***, the OG cupcake bakery***. Click on this image:

*** Our legal department insists we point out that we did not invent the cupcake. Nor are we the only ones who sell them. Frankly, we're starting to doubt whether our legal department understands the first thing about marketing.
Where were we? ...
Oh, yes. The next thing we have picked up. Market your product based on people's wants and needs.
People like customisation and choice. After all, people don't want to buy the same car, do they? Although, we have noticed an awful lot of them do have the same number of wheels.
So we make it possible for our customers to put their own messages and images on our treats. For example:

The last thing we picked up about marketing is to show gratitude. Customers like gratitude. Do you like gratitude? Would you like some?
Thank you for reading this blog post.
